Community

Firefighters continually strive to build close relationships with the community they serve and as such are pro-active with 'Community Fire Safety'.
In addition to school visits, crews frequently attend residential areas, local shopping centres and retail parks. These visits enable crews to speak to people, give advice and issue a variety of literature. The main emphasis of these visits is to make as many people as possible aware of the need to own a smoke detector and to maintain it accordingly, ensuring its reliable use.
